Cass Sunstein: the Regulator

Hey y'all I'm back! I hope you had a good Labor Day weekend. I'm going to get right down to business with the next Obama adviser pick: Cass Sunstein. Where to start with this Marxist-Fascist sycophant. His dubious title is Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. He was born on September 21, 1954 in Cambridge, Massachussetts. He graduated in 1972 from Middlesex School in Concorde, MA and moved on to Harvard College (no surprise there) earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. In 1978 he received a Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. He served as a law clerk to Justice Benjamin Kaplan of the Massachussetts Supreme Judicial Court from 1978 to 1979 and then clerked for Justice Thurgood Marshall from 1979 to 1980. Sunstein worked for the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel from 1980 to 1981 as an attorney-adviser before becoming an assistant professor of law at the University of Chicago Law School. At this time he also became an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science (1983-1985). I'll never, to this day, understand why it is Ivy League, i.e.; Harvard graduates seem to have a natural predisposition to Socialism, Marxism, and Fascism. This is a man that thinks animals ought to be able to sue people ( with human legal representation, of course) to make sure people don't violate animal cruelty laws. He also believes the we "now more than ever" need to revive Franklin Roosevelt's "Second Bill of Rights." He is also in favor of regulating the Internet because he says, it "may weaken democracy because it allows citizens to isolate themselves with groups that share their own experiences and views and thus cut themselves off from any information that might challenge their beliefs." Hmmm, it sounds to me like he wants to take away people's freedom of association. He also believes that we should "celebrate tax day" because "there is no liberty without dependency." He is also in favor of gun control stating that, "Almost all gun control legislation is constitutionally fine. And if the court's right, then fundamentalism does not justify the view that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to bear arms." Cass Sunstein has also said he would want to ban hunting to expand the rights of animals to the detriment of farmers and consumers. He said, "Human willingness to subject animals to unjustified suffering will be seen as a form of unconscionable barbarity, morally akin to slavery and the mass extermination of human beings." How he can view hunting in the same light as slavery and mass murder of humans is beyond me. It's going to get even better folks, Obama is batting 500 with the people he appoints as "czars" and advisers, but he keeps up this facade of "moderation." I urge all of you who read this blog to keep your sights of 2010. That will be the year that real Americans will be elected to Congress, and will put this country back on track. Americans that believe in the Constitution, not some mish-mash of European law, U.N. edicts, and Marxist doctrine.
