Mr. Hope and Change wants to create a nation humbled; humiliated, casting-aside capitalism and individual freedoms for one where we the people are government controlled. This would be a system that genuflects mediocrity, steals personal aspiration and opportunity, and punishes those who strive to succeed.

A gallon of regular gasoline the day Obama was inaugurated was $1.79 on average in the U.S. Today that price is $3.59, a 100.6% increase.

The number of food stamp recipients has risen since Obama took office from 31,983,716 to 43,200,878, a 35.1% jump. Long term unemployment soared 146.2% during the same 32 month period from 2,600,000 to 6,400,000. Staggering hope and change isn't it?

American citizens living in poverty have risen 9.5% from 39,800,000 to 43,600,000, and the number of unemployed has jumped almost 25% from 11,616,000 to 14,485,000 as of August 31, 2011. The number of unemployed blacks has risen from 12.6% at the end of George Bush's term to 15.8% today, a 25.4% increase, and finally, our national debt is up 34.4% from 10.627 trillion to 14,278 trillion *

Keep these figures in mind as we recount the number of firsts for this presidency:

First President to refuse to show a valid birth certificate.

First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.

First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.

First President to preside over a cut to the credit rating of the United States .

First President to violate the War Powers Act.

First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico .

First President to defy a Federal Judges court order to cease implementing the Health Care Reform Law.

First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.

First President to spend a trillion dollars on shovel-ready jobs and later admit there was no such thing as shovel-ready jobs.

Now the Veterans Administration is forbidding prayer at a time when the grieving families of our fallen heroes need it the most. The simple comfort of praying to God for guidance at a time these families are hurting is now forbidden so as not to "offend" someone or some group, (Muslims, atheists, etc) or ::gasp:: "mix church and state." This crap has to stop and has to stop now. To all veterans and veterans families, to all Gold Star fathers and mothers; PRAY ANYWAY, THE HELL WITH THE VA!

Will The Election of 2012 Even Happen? (and if it does, will it matter?)

I've been thinking a lot about how "our" illustrious president seems to be hell bent on completing the task of destroying this once-great country, not physically mind you, but destroying what it was intended to be. The reason I ask if the presidential election of 2012 will even happen and if it does will it matter is, what if Obama loses ( and I hope to God he does) and somehow manages to hold on to power, just because? What if he creates a situation, a "national emergency" in order to suspend the elections in 2012, just so he can make a power grab? What if he simply says, "I don't agree with the results of the election" and refuses to turn the reins over to the Republican who bests him? This man is so arrogant and narcissistic that I really believe he would do all of the above. I really believe he feels the country can't live without him, and would say, "How dare you great unwashed turn me out of power!" I am the president, you do not have the authority to remove me from power, election or no election, I'm staying!" I shudder to see what the 2012 campaign is going to be like, the Democraps...oops Democrats are going to pull out all the stops to make sure this narcissistic, Marxist bastard gets re-elected. I'm not sure I'm ready for this, maybe I should see my doctor for some heart medication, because if this man gets re-elected, the destruction of the United States of America will be completed under an Obama second term, and I very seriously doubt the people of this nation will have the will to put it back to where it was before.

The Internal Revenue "Service"; as far as I'm concerned it's just a legal terrorist organization. No better than a gang of mafia thugs.

The Department of Energy; no reason for it, all it does is drive up the price of fuel.

The Department of Education: we don't need the federal government forcing a politically correct, anti-American, Afrocentric curriculum on our kids.

National Endowment for the Arts: why should my taxes go to pay for a picture of The Saviour immersed in a jar of urine?

The Department of Homeland Security; another gang of jackbooted thugs that has too much unconstitutional power. We already have a Department of Defense, they can handle it just fine.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration: another government boondoggle that costs the few manufacturers left in this country billions of dollars a year; hence why most have moved to China. Let the workers decide how to safely run a plant or job site, they're not stupid.

The Environmental Protection Agency; here is the biggest reason why almost all our manufacturing jobs have been moved to China and Mexico, here is the single biggest reason why gas prices are too damn high.

Federal Emergency Management Agency: yeah, they did a hell of a job in New Orleans didn't they?

The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms: this gang of jackbooted maggots should've been done away with a long time ago, for obvious reasons.

When it comes to the private sector, I can choose not to buy goods and/or use services that have unionized employees. When it comes to government, I HAVE NO CHOICE!!! I have to put up with the same overpaid(state bus driver in Wisconsin as an example being paid $100,000 a year) underworked apathetic a**holes that I deal with whenever I'm forced to make use of government services. So why do these greedy sons of bitches think they're so goddamned entitled to my money!!!??? Why do they think they're entitled to golden parachutes??? I have been extremely lazy these past few months, not using the good brain God gave me to put my own thoughts on paper, or on computer screen in this case. Mexico Dumps the Dollar

Mexico has always considered the US dollar almost a secondary currency to their Peso as the fact that billions of US dollars spent their way through the Mexican economy in 2009 and 2010 which speaks for itself, but sometimes even the best of friendships come to an end.

The Mexican government in September 2010 enacted a new law which basically restricts the use of US Dollars for almost all purchases inside of Mexico.

In early 2010 travelers and visitors could shop at many of the large US corporations inside of Mexico such as Wal-Mart, Home Depot or even one of the hundreds of American food establishments such as McDonalds or Dominoes Pizza and pay for their meal using US Dollars but under the new law using US Dollars is no longer an option.

Just image the surprise of many Americans being told by Wal-Mart that US Dollars are no longer accepted at their store especially since Wal-Mart is one of the most iconic “American” businesses in the world with such buying power that they set the prices which manufactures must sell them their items for.

Wal-Mart´s buying power is so well known in fact that most people would normally be able to safely assume that with such buying power that Wal-Mart could also force almost any country into allowing them to accept the US Dollar to further their in store sales, but apparently not even Wal-Mart is that powerful.

Therefore it was no surprise that when this story broke in late September of 2010 that Mexico was no longer accepting US Dollars the internet was abuzz with conspiracy theories claiming a banking holiday was in short order or the crash of the US dollar was intimate while others were raising the “BS” flag and claiming Mexico would never stop accepting US Dollars because those dollars were its economic life support but as the year closed out and those “end of the world” predictions didn’t come to pass and the fact Mexico did stop accepting the dollar, well that only left many people wondering what really was going on south of the border.

The Mexican government had made it clear that they will no longer allow ANY businesses to accept US dollars including American companies regardless of the operation or who is paying in American dollars. That’s right, this means if you’re a US citizen and fly into Mexico for vacation or business your hotel is no longer allowed to exchange cash dollars into pesos at the front desk which was customary up until 2011.

Also in Mexico if you travel to a local bank regardless of the bank name or national origin including HSBC from China which is the fastest growing bank in Mexico you are no longer able to exchange US Dollars for pesos. Only account holders at banks have the option of depositing US Dollars into their bank accounts but this is for deposits only and not exchange and then you have to have a special type of account set up that is more costly. Of course even if you do have a special account that allows you to deposit US dollars your bank will charge you a service free for depositing foreign currency into your account and then probably another service fee for a withdrawal but that’s another issue all together.

Ok so many readers are probably asking if the banks no longer exchange money or business are no longer allowed to accept US Dollars then what is a person who has US dollars suppose to do.

For those who have traveled to Mexico there is a good chance you are familiar with Casa de Cambios which are small exchange centers for US dollars and often littered on every corner of any large tourist city or the closer to the border you are, however these Casa de Cambios themselves have come under strict new regulation as well as have been greatly reduced in numbers as more are closing every day faster than “one hour” Kodak film processing centers or Blockbuster video locations.

Part of the new regulations is that anyone exchanging money for any reason must now present a valid government ID which is copied and placed on file with a copy of the transaction and amount of money being exchanged. This additional paperwork and hassles now mean higher operational costs for these businesses which in turn mean those costs will be passed onto the consumers who are often the one that end up paying for everything anyway.

Another drawback is that since there are now fewer Casa de Cambios this means less competition and so the exchange rate doesn’t have to be as competitive or even what the banks posted exchange rate is, after all you really have no other option in exchanging your US dollars. Gone are the days of such advantageous exchange rates that allowed anyone exchanging US Dollars into Pesos additional purchasing power by walking away with more for your money south of the border.

The Mexican government wants everyone to believe that these new laws were enacted because the war on drugs and the inability to track all these US Dollars floating around their economy which they claim the drug cartels are using in a black market way but a closer look indicates something completely different.

As the dollar continues to lose purchasing power so does the ever enjoyed exchange rate the US Dollar held for so long. This is a way to actually help devalue the US Dollar while protecting the Mexican economy from going down with the US financial Titanic that has been taking on way too much water in the form of overspending and red ink.

With the value of the dollar sliding lower each day there are some experts who are predicting the US Dollar to reach a point that it will either collapse or need to be reevaluated but either way the Peso is expected to be worth more than the US Dollar and this looks like it will happen sometime very soon at the rate of how things are changing for the Dollar around the world.

This is why it looks as if the Mexican government is doing everything it can to remove as many US Dollars from their economy so there are fewer US Dollars in circulation inside of Mexico so that when the US Dollar does finally go by the wayside there will be less of a direct affect on the Mexican Economy as a whole.

It has now been almost 5 full months since this law took effect and Mexico has been successful in eliminating millions of US fiat Dollars out of its economy and taking steps to vamp up the removal of all remaining dollars by recently instigating even stricter rules at the Casa de Cambios preventing them from exchanging more than $300.00 dollars per transactions.

This means it will be much more difficult for Mexicans to send US Dollars home to their families without enriching the pockets of the bankers and the money transfer companies. These caps on exchanging Dollars will also cause the people to want to get away from the dollar faster as it’s more difficult and costly to do business with dollars.

On a side note it´s also important to note that the Mexican economy grew at a rate of just over 5% in 2010 and by the year’s end many large companies in Mexico were reporting stronger than ever revenue and sales at rates not seen in many years. Many large companies are actually in hiring frenzies and some companies are desperate to fill slots with qualified workers.

Now while some will argue that any cash regardless if it is drug money or laundered is actually good for an economy but most people can also understand it’s not good if that cash you have is losing its value so fast that it isn’t going to be worth the paper it’s printed on so it´s best to get rid of that money as fast as you can.

There has been a rush to sell off US Dollars inside Mexico because the people are sensing a coming financial storm with the US Dollar and they too don’t want to be stuck with worthless paper or allowing that worthless paper to drag down their economy especially while their overall economy is going through a growth trend but until that time does come you will still be able to use your credit and debit cards as those funds are simply automatically converted at the time of a transaction but are not physically in the economic system as fiat paper money but rather electronic funds.

A good conspiracy theorist will argue the point that the removal of paper money and forcing people into electronic transactions and requiring those who do use cash to provide ID to be Orwellian and that the bankers come out winning might have a point to some degree but in Mexico the fiat currency in the form of Peso bills can still be used for most transactions.

The irony is that many Americans for so long often use to complain about how so many Mexicans living in the United States were sending US Dollars back to Mexico and how it hurt the US economy.

The irony is now those Americans are getting their wish that little if any US dollars are being sent to Mexico and in turn this is actually greatly helping the Mexican economy while drastically hurting and aiding in the devaluation of the US dollar.

SO for those planning to travel to Mexico be sure to take your Kevlar and your American Express card (don’t leave home without it) and remember Visa is everywhere you want it to be, even in Mexico where the Dollar is no longer accepted.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

- Life isn't always fair;

- and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Now It Starts: the Blame Game

When a 22 year old psychotic part time college student opens fire on a crowd of people that includes a U.S. Congresswoman and a federal judge, it's a tragedy. But the even greater tragedy is the subsequent blame game being played by the "mainstream" media and liberal groups everywhere. It's interesting how the Left is blaming the NRA, the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Fox News and other Conservative talk radio and TV hosts for this tragedy when it's a well known fact that the man who shot Gabrielle Giffords is a Leftist. Jared Loughner has a known history of bizarre and erratic behavior that was so disturbing that he was forced to withdraw from community college classes until he could show them a clean mental health evaluation. He also attempted to enlist in the United States Army but was turned down for reasons the Department of the Army will not disclose due to privacy concerns. How this disturbed young man was able to purchase a firearm is anybody's guess, but restricting my or anyone else's right to keep and bear arms is not the answer. And blaming Conservative talk radio and Fox News for this tragedy just shows the Left's collective head needs work.

An Amendment We Really Need: Amendment 28

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.

As the Chalk Leader for my flight home from Afghanistan, I witnessed the following:

When we were on our way back from Afghanistan, we flew out of Baghram Air Field. We went through customs at BAF, full body scanners (no

groping), had all of our bags searched, the whole nine yards. Our first stop was Shannon, Ireland to refuel. After that, we had to stop at Indianapolis, Indiana to drop off about 100 folks from the Indiana National Guard. That's where the stupid started.

First, everyone was forced to get off the plane-even though the plane wasn't refueling again. All 330 people got off that plane, rather than let the 100 people from the ING get off. We were filed from the plane to a holding area. No vending machines, no means of escape. Only a male/female latrine.

It's probably important to mention that we were ALL carrying weapons. Everyone was carrying an M4 Carbine (rifle) and some, like me, were also carrying an M9 pistol. Oh, and our gunners had M-240B machine guns. Of course, the weapons weren't loaded. And we had been cleared of all ammo well before we even got to customs at Baghram, then AGAIN at customs.

The TSA personnel at the airport seriously considered making us unload all of the baggage from the SECURE cargo hold to have it re-inspected. Keep in mind, this cargo had been unpacked, inspected piece by piece by U.S. Customs officials, resealed and had bomb-sniffing dogs give it a one-hour run through. After two hours of sitting in this holding area, the TSA decided not to re-inspect our Cargo-just to inspect us again:

Soldiers on the way home from war, who had already been inspected, re-inspected and kept in a SECURE holding area for 2 hours. Ok, whatever. So we lined up to go through security AGAIN.

This is probably another good time to remind you all that all of us were carrying actual assault rifles, and some of us were also carrying

pistols.

So we're in line, going through one at a time. One of our Soldiers had his Gerber multi-tool. TSA confiscated it. Kind of ridiculous, but it gets better. A few minutes later, a guy empties his pockets and has a pair of nail clippers. Nail clippers. TSA informs the Soldier that they're going to confiscate his nail clippers. The conversation went something like this:

TSA Guy: You can't take those on the plane.

Soldier: What? I've had them since we left country.

TSA Guy: You're not suppose to have them.

Soldier: Why?

TSA Guy: They can be used as a weapon.

Soldier: [touches butt stock of the rifle] But this actually is a weapon. And I'm allowed to take it on.

TSA Guy: Yeah but you can't use it to take over the plane. You don't have bullets.

Soldier: And I can take over the plane with nail clippers?

TSA Guy: [awkward silence]

Me: Dude, just give him your damn nail clippers so we can get the f**k out of here. I'll buy you a new set.

Soldier: [hands nail clippers to TSA guy, makes it through security]

To top it off, the TSA demanded we all be swabbed for "explosive residue" detection. Everyone failed, [go figure, we just came home from a war zone], because we tested positive for "Gun Powder Residue". Who the F**K is hiring these people?

This might be a good time to remind everyone that approximately 233 people re-boarded that plane with assault rifles, pistols, and machine

guns-but nothing that could have been used as a weapon.

Can someone please tell me What the F**K happened to OUR country while we were gone?

Now we learn that he is allowing thousands of Palestinian refuges to move

to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense. These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages.

Today, the North Koreans shelled a South Korean island with civilians living on it. People are speculating what the US will do about it beyond lip service and platitudes, and the answer is: NOTHING! I hate to tell you good folks, but we cannot and will not do anything about North Korea, or any other nation in the world unless they attack this country directly, and even then with who we have as president, I doubt we would retaliate. The reason we cannot and will not do anything is this: WE ARE NO LONGER A SUPERPOWER! I know that hurts, and I know that shocks, but we are no longer a superpower. China is the world's sole superpower now. The United States stopped being a superpower for probably the past 5 years at least and to prove what I'm saying is correct, look at where just about everything you buy at WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes, or any shopping mall is made: CHINA! The People's Republic has almost 2 billion people living in it. 2 billion Communist slave laborers which is the reason why American manufacturers have closed factories in the US and moved them to China. Cheap slave labor. That and the fact that China holds all our debt, which makes it next to impossible for American made products to compete internationally. This may seem like a huge digression from North Korea, but it isn't. Here's how the two tie together. We, the United States of America no longer have the economic or military trump cards to hang over the world's head anymore. If we threaten action against North Korea, Kim Jong (mentally) Il will laugh at us and China will say, "America? SHUT UP! You're not going to take any kind of action against North Korea or anyone else unless we (China) give you permission to do so." Because China holds all our debt, they theoretically have the power to do that. Let's face it everybody, we are no longer the world's sole superpower. We are no longer even a second rate power. And as far as I'm concerned, we brought it on ourselves. Pretty soon it's going to get to be questionable if we can protect our own security, let alone defend any other nation. And as far as being the world's policeman forget it. This may be the tipping point folks, this may be the start of the "times that try men's souls."

You Republicans were elected to roll back an increasingly intrusive federal government. If you choose to appoint this man to a committee chairmanship, especially to the energy committee of all things, then you will have totally lost credibility with myself and millions of other Americans. Congratulations to the GOP for their tremendous win last night November 2, 2010. Sixty seats in the House of Representatives are now in Conservative/Republican hands, possibly more once all the votes are counted, and the gap between the Dems and the GOP in the Senate has been significantly narrowed. Now that the GOP has the House in their hands I have this to say: DON'T SCREW IT UP! Don't make the same mistakes you made from 1994 to 2006. And above all, DO NOT "GO ALONG TO GET ALONG" WITH THE OBAMANATION OR ANY OTHER DEMOCRAT!(Progressive) The message is this: No Retreat, No Surrender, No Compromise. We did not elect you to compromise with the enemy, or go along to get along with the enemy. John Boehner has already talked about repealing Obamacare, which is a step in the right direction. I know, I know, the Conservatives do not have the votes to override an Obama veto, but they can keep proposing the legislation, and keep casting Obama in a very bad light as he keeps vetoing it, and going against the will of the American people. Also, since the House controls the government's purse strings, they can also de-fund Obamacare along with any other program, depending on who's in charge of the Ways and Means Committee. Another item is making the Bush tax cuts permanent, which is another great idea. The bottom line (God I hate that phrase!) is this: To all Republicans who were elected last night, We The People are sick and tired of being told it is our "patriotic duty" to pay tribute (taxes) to an increasingly intrusive federal government, we are sick and tired of being told that we're racists because we want to keep our borders secure, we are sick of being told that we're stupid when we say we don't want the government running healthcare, we are fed up with being told that we don't know what's good for us when we say we don't want the government running our schools, we are sick of hearing true patriotism being called "jingoism,"

Beck Hits it Out of the Park

I had the great pleasure of attending the Glenn Beck/ Special Operations Warrior Foundation Restoring Honor event yesterday, 8/28/2010 in Washington D.C.. We left at 5:00 in the morning, we meaning two friends and myself, and drove to the Shady Grove Metro Rail station near Rockville, MD. The ticket office didn't open till 7:00AM, and already there was a long line. After waiting in line for an hour and forty-five minutes, we finally got our tickets and boarded the train. It took half an hour to reach Metro Central in D.C., where we finally debarked the train and walked from 13th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue to the National Mall. My feet were singing Ave Maria by this time. We could not believe the number of people that were lined up on both sides of the reflecting pool from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument. The mood of the crowd was upbeat, everybody was courteous to each other there was no pushing or harsh words spoken by anyone. Beck, Sarah Palin, Reverend C.L. Jackson, Doctor Alveda King, and Marcus Luttrell were all fantastic speakers. I left the event with a feeling of hope and a renewed determination to do what I can to help put this country back where it should be. The event showed that we all matter, and that a hero can be anybody. Anybody. And that race and color are irrelevant. It opened my eyes to the fact that if we all do our part, our country can once again be returned, restored to it's rightful place of honor and greatness. More importantly, the event reinforced my faith in God, and showed me that the Almighty will not allow this nation to perish from the earth, as long as we do our part. Glenn Beck hit it out of the park, and no matter what the so-called "mainstream" media and other bloggers say to downplay or mischaracterize this event, half million Americans will firmly disagree. Myself included.

Islam considers insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking" and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims may be specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient.

So I John Smith, as a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, cars and etc. and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax.

Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance at our expense.

Non-muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize muslims. Period. This is Dhimmitude.

Dhimmitude serves two purposes: it enriches the muslim masters AND serves to drive conversions to islam.

In this case, the incentive to convert to islam will be taken up by those in the inner-cities as well as the godless Generation X, Y and Z types who have no moral anchor or belief in God!

If you don't believe in Christ to begin with, it is no problem whatsoever to sell Him for 30 pieces of silver.

Troops' Voting Rights in Jeopardy

I guess Obama and his minions can't win without attempting to violate the voting rights of our men and women in uniform ( our military, to you leftists out there). Apparently several states are in violation of the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (MOVE). And as with the Black Panthers' voter intimidation tactics in 2008, Shyster oops.....Attorney General Eric Holder is doing nothing to stop these states from carrying out their non-enforcement of a federal law. Hmmm, sounds like what's happening in Arizona doesn't it? The MOVE Act was passed in October of 2009 to ensure American citizens and military personnel stationed overseas are not disenfranchised from their right to vote. This has happened on some occasions, but to the best of my knowledge the problem was corrected and the military and overseas ballots were counted. But that was then and this is now, and it seems we have to deal with an administration that apparently only enforces the laws they agree with. The states in question are: Washington, Hawaii, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Alaska (if you can believe Sarah Palin's state would try to disenfranchise Alaska's military personnel, of which her own son is a part of). Senator John Cornyn (R Texas), an author of the MOVE Act has demanded an explanation from Eric Holder's Justice Department, but so far nothing has been forthcoming from Obama's Shyster in Chief....oops Attorney General. I strongly suggest the good citizens of the states I just mentioned contact their state representatives and senators as well as their U.S. Congressmen and Senators in order to put an end to this travesty and stop Mr. Obama from disenfranchising our brave men and women in uniform, who incidentally are laying their lives on the line for our freedom every day. Obama and Holder have never faced death at any time in their lives, yet they seem to have no respect for those Americans who do. It's really sad that they have to deny certain people the right to vote in order to win elections isn't it? I guess maybe it's because most military personnel vote for people who will support them and their mission rather than the other party that will consistently dime them out any and every chance they can get.

Channel surfing from ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN through MSNBC and Fox News,
the inside-the-beltway pundits had a field day trying to get inside the heads of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, General Stanley McChrystal, and McChrystal’s top aides. The one thing common to all of the analyses, by the most famous and highly-paid talking heads in the Western World, was that they are all wrong… dead wrong. What is certain is that they all owe General McChrystal and his senior aides an apology for assuming that they are lame-brained numbskulls.
The facts of the McChrystal case are not in dispute. General McChrystal and his senior officers allowed a reporter for Rolling Stone Magazine, Michael Hastings, to have almost unprecedented access during an extended stay in Paris. The extended stay was due, in part, to an excess of atmospheric ash from Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano, keeping the McChrystal party grounded for days.
In an interview with CNN, Hastings reported that he had a tape recorder in his hand most of the time and that McChrystal was “very aware” that his comments would find their way into print. He said, “McChrystal and his people set no ground rules for their conversations, although they did ask that some parts of their conversations were off the record.” Hastings subsequently published a lengthy profile of General McChrystal on June 22, titled, The Runaway General.
As Hastings wrote in his profile, McChrystal thought that Obama looked “uncomfortable and intimidated” by the roomful of military brass during their first meeting. Of their second meeting, an advisor to McChrystal quoted the general as saying that it was “a 10-minute photo op.” He went on to say, “Obama clearly didn’t know anything about (McChrystal), who he was. Here’s the guy who’s going to run his f_ _ _ing war, but he didn’t seem very engaged. The Boss was pretty disappointed.”
As General McChrystal flew from Afghanistan to Washington to face Obama in the Oval Office, the almost unanimous opinion of the talking heads was that the comments made by McChrystal and his staff were off the cuff and inadvertent. But to believe that is to totally ignore who these men are.
General McChrystal and his top officers are not simple-minded, knuckle-dragging brutes. To the contrary, they are intelligent, thoughtful, highly educated, patriots… graduates of West Point and other fine universities… who are dedicated to duty, honor, and country. To think that such men would be so careless as to speak unflatteringly of Obama, Biden, and other top administration figures, in the presence of a reporter for a notoriously left wing publication, defies logic… at the very least. To think that men who are trained to be careful and deliberate in everything they do, could do something so careless and so unguarded is simply beyond comprehension.

I would argue that McChrystal and his aides knew exactly what they were doing.

From the day that he became the handpicked “spear carrier” for Obama’s unique brand of warfare… playing at being Commander in Chief while playing to his far left constituency… McChrystal’s life had been one of constant frustration. After telling Obama exactly how many troops he needed to carry out his mission, Obama dithered for months before deciding to give him just half the troops he requested. McChrystal could not have been happy about that.
The Obama team insisted on new Rules of Engagement designed to reduce collateral damage (civilian casualties). Obama’s ROE required that U.S. Troops must be able to see the enemy with weapon in hand before they were allowed to return fire. One videotape circulated on the Internet showed a platoon of Marines pinned down by enemy sniper fire. But since the enemy was firing from some distance behind the open window of a building, the Marines could not actually see the weapon being fired. Although they were taking deadly fire, they were prohibited by the ROE from putting small arms fire or an RPG through the window opening.
Under Obama’s politically correct ROE, our soldiers and Marines were required to fight with one hand tied behind their backs. McChrystal could not have been happy about that.
A strict new interrogation policy, dictated by Attorney General Eric Holder, required that prisoners must be delivered to an Interrogation Center within twenty-four hours of being captured or be released. A great deal of actionable intelligence was lost as a result and battle-hardened enemy fighters were returned to the field to kill Americans. McChrystal must have found that to be incomprehensible.
But the greatest insult to our troops in the field, and to the officers who lead them, may be a new battlefield medal designed by the Obama team. It is called the Courageous Restraint Medal and is awarded to soldiers and Marines who demonstrate uncommon restrain in combat by not firing their weapons even when they feel threatened by the enemy. Would we be surprised to learn that the preponderance of these medals were awarded posthumously? McChrystal must have found that to be an insanity.
I suggest that, having his best military judgments subjected to the White House political sieve for nearly a year and a half, McChrystal decided that he’d had enough. And when he announced to his senior staff that he was prepared to retire they decided to push back… to make the most of a bad situation. It was clear that, if McChrystal were to simply take off his uniform and walk away, his retirement would be page-twenty news for a day or two before the mainstream media and the American people forgot all about him.
They had to make the most of his retirement because it provided a one-time opportunity to show the American people, as well as our enemies and our allies, that the man who claims the title of Commander in Chief of the U.S. military does not command the respect of our men and women in uniform. To make the most of that opportunity they had to choose their messenger very carefully.
They knew that, by openly showing their disrespect for Obama in front of just any newsman, they may not attract the attention they desired. Like any astute observer of the MSM, they knew that most reporters would turn on their own mothers if it meant a good story. But they could not take a chance that a mainstream media reporter might suffer a rare pang of conscience when confronted with the prospect of ruining the careers of some of the most senior officers in the War on Terror. They had to fix the odds as much as possible in their favor so they chose to use Michael Hastings and Rolling Stone Magazine.
During the long hours that General McChrystal was in the air between Kabul and Washington, Obama knew that he had just two choices… both bad. He could declare McChrystal to be an irreplaceable asset in the war effort, give him a public reprimand, and send him back to Kabul. Or he could fire McChrystal, sending a clear message that, at least in his own mind, he was the Commander in Chief.
In the former case, he was certain to appear weak and ineffectual… a man not totally in charge. In the latter case, he might at least win a few rave reviews from the Kool-Ade drinkers in the mainstream media. He chose the latter of the two options.
But what is now lost in all of the hand-wringing and speculation is the fact that McChrystal and his people have succeeded in doing exactly what they set out to do. They wanted to plant the seed in the minds of the American people that Obama is not up to the task of being Commander in Chief and that he does not command the respect of the men and women of the uniformed services… from the newest Private E-1 up to the top four-star generals and admirals.
That seed is now firmly planted and it cannot be unplanted.
From this day forward, no one will have to tell the American people that Stanley McChrystal is a true warrior, a man’s man, and that Barack Obama is nothing more than a… community organizer. Well done, General

In a 5-4 decision(scary), the Supreme Court Of the United States ruled that the Second Amendment to the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution also applies to the states, and to local governments. Another good decision by SCOTUS along the lines of Heller. The case brought before the court was McDonald vs Chicago, the plaintiff is a man by the name of Otis McDonald, who challenged the City of Chicago's 30-year ban on handguns because he wanted to have a pistol in his home to defend himself against gangs in his neighborhood. Several amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs were filed in this case, most notably from Senators Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R, Texas), John Tester (D, Montana), and Representatives Mark Souder (R, Indiana) and Mike Ross (D, Arkansas). 58 Senators and 251 Representatives signed the brief, the most of any amicus curiae brief in U.S. history. I'm hoping that this a sign that The Supreme Court and Congress may finally be adhering to the Constitution, rather than some cobbled-together set of "laws" based on early 20th Century Progressivism and European/Marxist doctrine.

In 2007, Missouri placed on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the Official language of Missouri. Nearly 90% voting in favor! English became the official language for ALL governmental proceeding in Missouri. It also means no individual has the right to demand government services in a language OTHER than English.
In 2008 a measure was passed that requires our Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be here illegally. It allows Missouri law enforcement offices to receive training to enforce federal immigration laws. The bill makes it clear that illegal immigrants will NOT have access to taxpayers benefits such as food stamps and health care through Missouri HealthNET.
In 2009 a measure was passed that ensures Missouri's public institutions of higher education do NOT award financial aid to individuals who are here illegally. The law also requires all post-secondary institutions of higher education to annually certify to the Missouri Dept. of Higher Education that they have NOT knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States.
So while arizona has made national news for its new law, it is important to remember Missouri has been proactive in addressing this growing problem.
Missouri has sent a clear message that illegal immigrants are NOT welcome in our state and they are certainly NOT welcome to receive public benefits at the cost of Missouri taxpayers!

Everything was on go until Obama made a policy that NO U.S. SERVICEMAN CAN SPEAK AT ANY FAITH-BASED PUBLIC EVENTS ANYMORE. Needless to say, Greg had to cancel his speaking event with us. Didn't know if anyone else was aware of this new policy. Wonder what kind of news we all will receive next. You're just starting to see the Obamanation. Your religion is on the list next. I don't know about you, but this makes me furious.

A real loser if you believe in individual rights and freedom and liberty, or Gaia forbid, you actually believe in the Constitution! (Gaia is the earth goddess that liberals/progressives worship rather than the Almighty that normal people worship.) Some of her work on free speech issues suggests that, had she been nominated in 1776, she would restrict or actually outlaw Thomas Paine's Common Sense, as well as The Federalist Papers if James Madison and Alexander Hamilton refused to reveal who paid to publish their essays. What is with Obama and all these minions he surrounds himself with? Why do they hate this country so much? Another instance that should give any senate judiciary committee member pause are her efforts to restrict corporate campaign contributions, which by the way, are a form of speech. Her work on the First Amendment has repeatedly promoted the idea that rights come from government and not God. She elaborated on the subject of free speech in brief pertaining to the United States vs Stevens case in which she stated, "Whether a given category of speech enjoys First Amendment protection depends upon a categorical balancing of the value of the speech against its societal costs." Uhhh excuse me? Balance? Who the hell decides the balance? Obama? Pelosi? Kagan herself? Rahm Emanuel? Some other dictatorial federal bureaucrat? This is yet another example of Obama's hatred of America, and the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. I've heard it said Obama will not see a second term, and he probably won't. The question is, can the nation survive even a first term with Supreme Court picks like this?

It seems a school can now pick which days of the week their students may wear or otherwise display the American flag. A student by the name of Daniel Galli and four of his friends were sitting at a table during brunch break at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, California minding their own business when a vice principal ordered two of the boys to remove their American flag bandanas and the others to turn their American flag t-shirts inside out. When the boys refused, they were ordered to go to the principal's office. Says Daniel Galli, "They said we could wear it any other day, but today is sensitive to Mexican-Americans because it's supposed to be their holiday." The holiday in question is Cinco de Mayo. The administrators called the boys' shirts "incendiary" and said they could lead to fights on campus. My opinion is this: bring it on. This is the United States of America, not Mexico. Can you imagine if Americans living in Mexico picked fights with Mexican citizens for displaying their national(Mexican) colors in their own country??!!?? This politically correct sensitivity crap has got to stop. Many Mexican-American students said they were offended by the boys' American colors being worn on "their" holiday. One student, Annicia Nunez said, "I think they should apologize because it's a Mexican Heritage day, we don't deserve to be disrespected like that." We wouldn't do that on Fourth of July." Well Annicia, I hate to tell you this, but you're not in Mexico anymore! You are in America, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're here legally, so that means you are an American citizen! Not a Mexican citizen. A mother of one of the boys said, "I think it's absolutely ridiculous, all they were doing is displaying their patriotic nature and expressing their individuality." As for an apology, sorry Annicia, I doubt you'll get one. The boys and their parents have said, "Fat chance." Galli has stated, "I'm not going to apologize, I did nothing wrong. I went about my normal day." I might have worn an American flag, but I'm an American and I'm proud to be an American." Bravo to you Daniel Galli! Perhaps there is hope for this country yet if we keep raising kids like this young man. The five boys and their parents later met with a Morgan Hill Unified School District official on Wednesday night. The District and the school were not in agreement regarding the incident and released this statement: "The district does not concur with the Live Oak High School administration's interpretation of either board or district policy related to these actions."
Wow, that kind of statement coming from the District Administration of a San Francisco Bay area school. Amazing. This incident just goes to show you where political correctness and Progressivism and globalism leads you.

Thought you all might like to know what the "visit" from the President to the workers at the Kennedy Space Center was really like. The day before the meeting, a 747 landed and unloaded 6 limousines and a small army of his security staff. They drove 3 miles to the building where he would be, checked it out, then turned around and drove back and got into the 747 and left. (Your tax dollars at work).
The meeting was held at one of the smallest buildings on KSC. All the staff in this building were told to stay home and not come to work. Then only 40 guests were invited to hear him speak. ALL DIGNITARIES AND VIPS AND NOT ONE, I REPEAT NOT ONE, WORKER FROM ALL THOSE THAT WORK HANDS ON AND ACTUALLY WITH THE SHUTTLE WERE INVITED.
It was so staged and phony, it just makes my blood boil. Then that man said he wants to land on an asteroid!!!! Idiot. Here he is giving the Space Station to the Russians who want to charge us 100 million dollars per seat to fly one of our astronauts to the Space Station.
Just another case of the stacked deck. Rumor now has it that the last mission also may be canceled.

Pam Murphy, the widow of Audie Murphy, was involved in the Sepulveda VA hospital and care center over the course of 35 years, treating every veteran who visited the facility as if they were a VIP. Pam Murphy died last week at the age of 90.

After Audie died, they all became her boys. Every last one of them.

Any soldier or Marine who walked into the Sepulveda VA hospital and care center in the last 35 years got the VIP treatment from Pam Murphy. The widow of Audie Murphy – the most decorated soldier in World War II – would walk the hallways with her clipboard in hand making sure her boys got to see a specialist or doctor — STAT. If they didn't, watch out. Her boys weren't Medal of Honor recipients or movie stars like Audie, but that didn't matter to Pam. They had served their country. That was good enough for her. She never called a veteran by his first name. It was always "Mister." Respect came with the job. "Nobody could cut through VA red tape faster than Mrs. Murphy," said veteran Stephen Sherman, speaking for thousands of veterans she befriended over the years. "Many times I watched her march a veteran who had been waiting more than an hour right into the doctor's office. She was even reprimanded a few times, but it didn't matter to Mrs. Murphy. "Only her boys mattered. She was our angel."

Last week, Sepulveda VA's angel for the last 35 years died peacefully in her sleep at age 90.

"She was in bed watching the Laker game, took one last breath, and that was it," said Diane Ruiz, who also worked at the VA and cared for Pam in the last years of her life in her Canoga Park apartment. It was the same apartment Pam moved into soon after Audie died in a plane crash on Memorial Day weekend in 1971. Audie Murphy died broke, squandering million of dollars on gambling, bad investments, and yes, other women. "Even with the adultery and desertion at the end, he always remained my hero," Pam told me.

She went from a comfortable ranch-style home in Van Nuys where she raised two sons to a small apartment - taking a clerk's job at the nearby VA to support herself and start paying off her faded movie star husband's debts. At first, no one knew who she was. Soon, though, word spread through the VA that the nice woman with the clipboard was Audie Murphy's widow. It was like saying Patton had just walked in the front door. Men with tears in their eyes walked up to her and gave her a hug. "Thank you," they said, over and over.

The first couple of years, I think the hugs were more for Audie's memory as a war hero. The last 30 years, they were for Pam.

She hated the spotlight. One year I asked her to be the focus of a Veteran's Day column for all the work she had done. Pam just shook her head no. "Honor them, not me," she said, pointing to a group of veterans down the hallway. "They're the ones who deserve it."

The vets disagreed. Mrs. Murphy deserved the accolades, they said. Incredibly, in 2002, Pam's job was going to be eliminated in budget cuts. She was considered "excess staff." "I don't think helping cut down on veterans' complaints and showing them the respect they deserve, should be considered excess staff," she told me. Neither did the veterans. They went ballistic, holding a rally for her outside the VA gates. Pretty soon, word came down from the top of the VA. Pam Murphy was no longer considered "excess staff." She remained working full time at the VA until 2007 when she was 87. "The last time she was here was a couple of years ago for the conference we had for homeless veterans," said Becky James, coordinator of the VA's Veterans History Project.

Pam wanted to see if there was anything she could do to help some more of her boys.

Funeral services for Pam Murphy will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles. Dennis McCarthy's column appears Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Think Arizona's new immigration law is Nazi-like? Read this!

Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

in the country legally;

have the means to sustain themselves economically;

not destined to be burdens on society;

of economic and social benefit to society;

of good character and have no criminal records; and

contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:

immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;

foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;

foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;

foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;

those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:

Foreigners are admitted into Mexico "according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress." (Article 32)

Immigration officials must "ensure" that "immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance" and for their dependents. (Article 34)

Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets "the equilibrium of the national demographics," when foreigners are deemed detrimental to "economic or national interests," when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when "they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy." (Article 37)

The Secretary of Governance may "suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest." (Article 38)

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:

Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request, i.e., to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants. (Article 73)

A National Population Registry keeps track of "every single individual who comprises the population of the country," and verifies each individual's identity. (Articles 85 and 86)

A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).

Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:

Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)

Foreigners who sign government documents "with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses" are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:

Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)

Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)

Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico -- such as working with out a permit -- can also be imprisoned.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,

"A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally." (Article 123)

Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)

Foreigners who "attempt against national sovereignty or security" will be deported. (Article 126)

Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:

A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)

Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)

All of the above runs contrary to what Mexican leaders are demanding of the United States. The stark contrast between Mexico's immigration practices versus its American

immigration preachings is telling. It gives a clear picture of the Mexican government's agenda: to have a one-way immigration relationship with the United States.

Let's call Mexico's bluff on its unwarranted interference in U.S. immigration policy. Let's propose, just to make a point, that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) member nations standardize their immigration laws by using Mexico's own law as a model.

Now after reading this, who has the more Nazi-like and/or draconian immigration law, Arizona or Mexico?

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.
I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor , allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.
One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man. So here goes. I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish. I can't figure out what country you are the president of.
You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

" We're no longer a Christian nation"
" America is arrogant" –(Your wife even
announced to the world," America is mean-
spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)
I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.
After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."
Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.
I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know, the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.
Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man. Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue . You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.
And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.
One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.
You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.
You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.
And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle...

Purpose

Requires officials and agencies of the state and political subdivisions to fully comply with and assist in the enforcement of federal immigration laws and gives county attorneys subpoena power in certain investigations of employers. Establishes crimes involving trespassing by illegal aliens, stopping to hire or soliciting work under specified circumstances, and transporting, harboring or concealing unlawful aliens, and their respective penalties.

Background

Federal law provides that any alien who 1) enters or attempts to enter the U.S. at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, 2) eludes examination by immigration officers, or 3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the U.S. by a willfully false or misleading representation is guilty of improper entry by an alien. For the first commission of the offense, the person is fined, imprisoned up to six months, or both, and for a subsequent offense, is fined, imprisoned up to 2 years, or both (8 U.S.C. § 1325).

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is the primary authority for enforcing immigration laws. ICE was created in March 2003 as an investigative branch of the Department of Homeland Security. ICE was the result of combining the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the U.S. Customs Service.

Current statute defines criminal trespass in the first degree as a person knowingly entering or remaining unlawfully in areas related to residential structures, residential yards, real property subject to a valid mineral claim or lease under certain circumstances, property if the person defaces religious symbols or religious property, or critical public service facilities. Depending on the circumstances, criminal trespass in the first degree provides penalties ranging from a class 1 misdemeanor to a class 6 felony (A.R.S. § 13-1504).

In 2007, Arizona enacted the Legal Arizona Workers Act (LAWA), prohibiting an employer from knowingly or intentionally employing an unauthorized alien and establishing penalties for employers in violation. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office administers the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Program. The SAVE Program, together with the Social Security Administration (SSA), administers E-Verify, which allows employers to electronically confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees. LAWA requires all Arizona employers to use E-Verify to verify the employment eligibility of new hires. Proof of verifying the employment authorization of an employee through E-Verify creates a rebuttable presumption that an employer did not intentionally or knowingly employ an unauthorized alien.

The fiscal impact is unknown; however, there may be additional costs associated with criminal prosecution and detention of persons who are accused and convicted of the crimes established in this legislation. Additionally, the addition of new fines associated with this measure may also have an impact.

Provisions

Enforcement

1. Requires a reasonable attempt to be made to determine the immigration status of a person during any legitimate contact made by an official or agency of the state or a county, city, town or political subdivision (political subdivision) if reasonable suspicion exists that the person is an alien who is unlawfully present in the U.S.

2. Requires the person’s immigration status to be verified with the federal government pursuant to federal law.

3. Requires an alien unlawfully present in the U.S. who is convicted of a violation of state or local law to be transferred immediately to the custody of ICE or Customs and Border Protection, on discharge from imprisonment or assessment of any fine that is imposed.

4. Allows a law enforcement agency to securely transport an alien who is unlawfully present in the U.S. and who is in the agency’s custody to:

a) a federal facility in this state or

b) any other point of transfer into federal custody that is outside the jurisdiction of the law enforcement agency.

5. Allows a law enforcement officer, without a warrant, to arrest a person if the officer has probable cause to believe that the person has committed any public offense that makes the person removable from the U.S.

6. Prohibits officials or agencies of the state and political subdivisions from being prevented or restricted from sending, receiving or maintaining an individual’s immigration status information or exchanging that information with any other governmental entity for the following official purposes:

a) determining eligibility for any public benefit, service or license provided by any federal, state, local or other political subdivision of this state;

b) verifying any claim of residence or domicile if that verification is required under state law or a judicial order issued pursuant to a civil or criminal proceeding in the state;

c) confirming a detainee’s identity; and

d) if the person is an alien, determining whether the person is in compliance with federal alien registration laws.

7. Disallows officials or agencies of the state or political subdivisions from adopting or implementing policies that limit immigration enforcement to less than the full extent permitted by federal law, and allows a person to bring an action in superior court to challenge an official or agency that does so.

8. Requires the court, if there is a judicial finding that an entity has committed a violation, to order any of the following:

a) that the plaintiff recover court costs and attorney fees;

b) that the defendant pay a civil penalty of not less than $1,000 and not more than $5,000 for each day that the policy has remained in effect after the filing of the action.

9. Requires the court to collect and remit the civil penalty to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), which must establish a special subaccount for the monies in the account established for the Gang and Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission (GIITEM) appropriation.

10. Specifies that law enforcement officers are indemnified by their agencies against reasonable costs and expenses, including attorney fees, incurred by the officer in connection with any action, suit or proceeding brought pursuant to this statute to which the officer may be a party by reason of the officer being or having been a member of the law enforcement agency, except in relation to matters in which the officer is adjudged to have acted in bad faith.

Trespassing by Illegal Aliens

11. Specifies that, in addition to any violation of federal law, a person is guilty of trespassing if the person is:

a) present on any public or private land in the state and

b) is not carrying his or her alien registration card or has willfully failed to register.

12. Requires, in the enforcement of this statute, the final determination of an alien’s immigration status to be determined by:

a) a law enforcement officer who is authorized to verify or ascertain an alien’s immigration status or

b) a law enforcement officer or agency communicating with ICE or the U.S. Border Protection.

13. Stipulates that a person is not eligible for suspension or commutation of sentence or release on any basis until the sentence imposed is served.

14. Directs the person to pay jail costs and an additional assessment of at least $500 for the first violation or at least $1,000 for subsequent offenses.

15. Requires the court to collect and remit the assessments to DPS for the special GIITEM subaccount.

16. Specifies that the trespassing statute does not apply to a person who maintains authorization from the federal government to remain in the U.S.

17. Classifies the violation as follows:

a) a class 2 felony if the person commits the violation while in possession of a dangerous drug, precursor chemicals used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument or property that is used for committing an act of terrorism;

b) a class 4 felony for a second or subsequent offense or if the person, within 60 months before the violation, accepted a voluntary removal from the U.S. or has been deported;

c) a class 1 misdemeanor in all other cases.

Unlawful Stopping and Solicitation of Work

18. Specifies that it is unlawful, if a motor vehicle is stopped on a street, roadway or highway and blocks or impedes the normal movement of traffic:

a) for a motor vehicle occupant to attempt to hire or hire and pick up passengers for work at a different location;

b) for a person to enter the motor vehicle in order to be hired by a motor vehicle occupant and to be transported to work at a different location.

19. Stipulates that it is unlawful for a person who is unlawfully present in the U.S. and who is an unauthorized alien to knowingly apply for work, solicit work in a public place or perform work as an employee or independent contractor in Arizona.

20. Classifies these offenses as class 1 misdemeanors.

21. Defines solicit and unauthorized alien.

Unlawful Transporting

22. Specifies that it is unlawful for a person to do or attempt to do the following if the person knows or recklessly disregards the fact that the alien has come to, has entered or remains in the U.S. in violation of law:

a) transport or move an alien in Arizona in a means of transportation;

b) conceal, harbor or shield an alien from detection in any place in Arizona, including any building or means of transportation.

23. Stipulates it is unlawful to encourage or induce an alien to come to or reside in Arizona if the person knows or recklessly disregards the fact that such coming to, entering or residing in this state is or will be in violation of law.

24. Subjects a means of transportation used in the commission of a violation to mandatory vehicle immobilization or impoundment.

25. Classifies these offenses as class 1 misdemeanors and subjects offenders to fines of at least $1,000, except that a violation that involves 10 or more illegal aliens is a class 6 felony with a fine of at least $1,000 for each alien who is involved.

Investigations of Employers

26. Allows the county attorney, in investigations of employers who are alleged to have knowingly or intentionally hired unauthorized aliens, to take evidence, administer oaths or affirmations, issue subpoenas requiring attendance and testimony of witnesses and cause depositions to be taken.

27. Exempts proceedings held during the course of a confidential investigation from open meeting laws.

28. Stipulates that an employer is not entrapped in an investigation if the employer was predisposed to knowingly or intentionally employ an unauthorized alien and law enforcement officers or their agents merely provided the employer with an opportunity to do so.

29. States that it is not entrapment for law enforcement officers or their agents merely to use a ruse or to conceal their identities.

30. Directs employers to keep verification records of their employees’ work eligibility through E-Verify.

31. Establishes a class 3 felony for failing to:

a) verify employment eligibility through E-Verify or

b) keep records of verifications.

Miscellaneous

32. Specifies that monies in the special GIITEM subaccount are subject to legislative appropriation for distribution for gang and immigration enforcement and for county jail reimbursement costs relating to immigration.

33. Stipulates that the terms of the act regarding immigration have the meanings given to them under federal immigration law.

34. Requires the act to be implemented in a manner consistent with federal laws regulating immigration, protecting the civil rights of all persons and respecting the privileges and immunities of U.S. citizens.

35. Contains intent and severability clauses.

36. Titles the legislation the “Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act.”

37. Makes conforming changes.

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29

Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

In a report on its web site dated April 2010, entitled "Meet The Patriots,"the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) profiled "36 individuals at the heart of the resurgent [patriot] movement." (In reading the list, I counted only 35 "patriots" and 5 "enablers" for a total of 40. I'm not really sure how the SPLC came up with "36." Perhaps their ability to count is commensurate with their ability to appreciate patriotism and liberty.) The SPLC (founded by Morris Dees) sees itself as America's guardian against "right wing militias" and loves to label conservatives and libertarians that it doesn't like as "extremists." The SPLC is one of the most ultra-liberal organizations in the country and should be dismissed as a group of paranoid leftists, not worthy of thought or mention.
The sad truth is, however, our federal government has chosen to exalt the SPLC to the position of being its "go to" source for information regarding "potential domestic terrorists" and similar characterizations. As a result, the information and reports disseminated by SPLC wind up in police reports and bulletins all over the United States. As an example, the SPLC had its fingerprints all over the infamous MIAC report. One could even question whether the SPLC is merely a front organization for Big Brother.
Therefore, it is highly likely that the report negatively profiling 40 American patriots will find its way into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fusion centers and be distributed to police agencies all across the
country. So, should the 40 people who find themselves targeted by SPLC expect some kind of government/police attention? Are we really that close to Nazi-style persecution in America? If the SPLC has its way, the answer seems to be a definite yes.
I remind readers that in the book, Nazi Justiz: Law of the Holocaust (page3), there were five steps to Hitler's plans for the destruction of European Jews.

Step 1: Identification/registration of the targeted group as a public menace.

Step 2: Ostracism of the targeted persons.

Step 3: property confiscation.

Step 4: Concentration of members into geographical locations.

Step 5: Annihilation. In this latest report, SPLC seems quite willing to
accomplish steps 1 and 2.

Once in a while, someone writes a column that leaves me enviously

exclaiming, "Darn! I wish I had written that!" Candidly, I do not often

find myself saying that, but I sure did when I read William Norman Grigg's

excellent column entitled "Casus Belli" (Latin for "Case for War") on

Monday, March 29, 2010. Read his column (even if you don't read the rest of

I want to try and expound on Grigg's outstanding analysis of the Hutaree
militia raid. In doing so, I am going to also expand upon Grigg's reference
to James Madison's trenchant treatise in Federalist 46.
Referring to the federal indictment against the Hutaree militia, that
alleged members were making preparations for potential armed conflict
against law enforcement officers as a "seditious conspiracy," Grigg astutely
noted, "If they were acquiring weapons and developing appropriate skills in
anticipation of defending themselves against government aggression, their
actions--while possibly conspiratorial in nature--don't amount to a crime.
This is particularly true in light of our cultural history, in which
sedition--agitation to change the existing political order--is our proudest
civic tradition."
Grigg then rightly observes, "Government is nothing more than the
rationalization and exercise of violence. Everything done by government
contains at least the implicit threat of lethal coercion. Thus the
indictment's description of Hutaree as 'an anti-government extremist
organization which advocates violence against local, state and Federal law
enforcement' is a product of rhetorical onanism [from Genesis 38:9--a great
analogy, Will]."
As a general rule, government is the most violent force on the planet. If
one wants to get a true perspective on the historical record regarding who
or what routinely produces the most violence and death, one should pick up a
copy of R. J. Rummel's book, "Death By Government." Since the end of World
War II, Communist China and Red Russia lead the pack when it comes to death
and brutality; however, the US government has inflicted its share of carnage
as well. For example, in Iraq and Afghanistan alone, the government in
Washington, D.C., has killed over 800,000 civilians (and this figure is a
conservative estimate noting the most credible resources possible).

Plus, does anyone remember the violence that our federal government enacted
upon the Branch Davidians outside Waco, Texas? Does anyone remember the
mother shot in the head while innocently holding her little baby in her own
home by a federal sniper near Ruby Ridge, Idaho (after her small son was
shot in the back by federal agents)? In fact, the list of civilians who have
been killed by federal law enforcement agents over the years is a very long
one. Granted, many of these killings were done in lawful self-defense; but
others amounted to nothing less than old-fashioned murder (and never was the
federal agent who committed the murder ever brought to justice).
If one wants to indict an "organization which advocates violence," then
surely the central government in Washington, D.C., should be indicted!
If Hutaree members were indeed planning AGGRESSIVE violence against
anyone--in the government or without--they deserved to be stopped. If,
however, they were simply preparing to DEFEND THEMSELVES against government
overreach or abuse--and would only resort to violence in an act of lawful
self-defense--they committed no crime and are but the most recent victims of
federal abuse of power. This is a question that will doubtless be determined
in a court of law.
To charge, however (as the indictment does), that Hutaree members (all 9 of
them!) planned "to levy war against the United States, [and] to oppose by
force the authority of the Government of the United States . . ." will take
some doing to make stick. As Grigg points out, "If Hutaree was preparing for
armed DEFENSE against criminal actions by government officials, this charge
is as pointless as a broken pencil. If their efforts to 'prevent, hinder,
and delay' various government initiatives were confined to activism, rather
than armed conflict, they are--in that particular--not substantially
different from hundreds or thousands of other groups."
The entire case against Hutaree appears to be based upon the testimony of an
FBI undercover agent inside the group. Placing agent provocateurs inside
groups such as Hutaree is a classic strategy of federal police agencies.

Using agent provocateurs is a long-favored tactic of both the Kremlin and
the White House. Joel Skousen's latest WORLD AFFAIRS BRIEF contains an
extremely trenchant and insightful analysis of how Russia and the US have
used--and continue to use--this tactic.
Skousen writes, "A related tactic [to false flag operations] is the hiring
of agent provocateurs to infiltrate a group targeted for destruction and
induce radical elements of that group to perform crimes against innocent
civilians that will justify armed retaliation or arrest. With the sudden
surge in claimed terrorism in Russia and the arrest of the radical Hutaree
group in the US, it is helpful to review the role of false flag terror
attacks in Russia and the role of agent provocateurs in the US as we analyze
what's really going on."
Skousen further states, "As we move on to discuss the arrest of the radical
members of the Hutaree cult in Michigan, it is important to note that
virtually every prosecution of so-called domestic terrorism in the past
decade is owed to the infiltration of FBI informants. While none of us in
America dispute the need to gain intelligence on real threats to national
security, we have to question the propriety of training and pressuring
informants (most of which have been forced to accept the informant
assignment in lieu of a prison term for other crimes committed) to provoke
and induce angry and unstable dissidents to commit acts of terror.
"All too often, FBI 'informants' have been pressured by superiors to go far
beyond informing. They have provided weapons, explosives, and even acted as
the guiding hand to map out the strategy and tactics for performing the
deed. These things only come out reluctantly during trial, and even then I
suspect that we are never allowed to know the full extent of these
provocations."

In addition, Will Grigg states that another major component of the
indictment that is worrisome is the charge that Hutaree is guilty of
"seditious conspiracy." As Grigg writes, "Whatever is eventually learned
about Hutaree, as things presently stand the indictment against it could
provide a template for 'seditious conspiracy' prosecutions involving
practically any group that endorses the use of defensive force to protect
citizens against government aggression.
"Indeed, the definition of 'conspiracy' used in the Hutaree indictment could
make a criminal out of anyone who reads Federalist Paper 46 in public,
thereby sharing James Madison's commendably seditious admonition that the
people preserve 'the advantage of being armed' in the event that
insurrection against the central government proves necessary in order to
preserve liberty."
Let's look a little closer at Federalist 46, written by Founding Father,
author of the US Constitution, and America's fourth President, James
Madison. In dispelling the fears of colonists toward a standing federal
army, Madison said in Federalist 46, "Let a regular army, fully equal to the
resources of the country, be formed; and let it be entirely at the devotion
of the federal government; still it would not be going too far to say, that
the State governments, with the people on their side, would be able to repel
the danger. The highest number to which, according to the best computation,
a standing army can be carried in any country, does not exceed one hundredth
part of the whole number of souls; or one twenty-fifth part of the number
able to bear arms. This proportion would not yield, in the United States, an
army of more than twenty-five or thirty thousand men. To these would be
opposed a militia amounting to near half a million of citizens with arms in
their hands, officered by men chosen from among themselves, fighting for
their common liberties, and united and conducted by governments possessing
their affections and confidence. It may well be doubted, whether a militia
thus circumstanced could ever be conquered by such a proportion of regular
troops."
Madison went on to say, "Besides the advantage of being armed, which the
Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the
existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and
by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the
enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple
government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military
establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far
as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the
people with arms."
Could Madison be any clearer? He (and the rest of America's founders)
emphatically expected the militia of the "several States" to be universally
armed against the potential encroachment on liberty by the central
government, meaning: the citizenry must at all times be prepared to use
their arms against any aggressive nature of the federal government to
trample their freedoms.
This, of course, reinforces the founders' intent, that the 2nd Amendment
protected the right of the people to keep and bear arms for the express
purpose of providing the citizenry with the capability to repel (with
violence) any assault against their liberties by their own federal
government.
So, pray tell, would today's FBI categorize James Madison's statements in
Federalist 46 as "seditious conspiracy"? If so, perhaps we are closer to
tyranny than any of us wants to admit!
Furthermore, it is not lost to millions of Americans that this is the same
federal government (through Department of Homeland Security fusion centers)
that just recently characterized pro-lifers; people who support the 2nd
Amendment; people who oppose the United Nations and illegal immigration;
people who voted for Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin; and Iraq War veterans as
"extremists" and potential "dangerous militia members."
But, once again, the federal government--along with their propagandists in
the major news media, including its artificial authority on militias, the
ultra-liberal Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in Montgomery, Alabama--is
able to use the Hutaree militia to demonize militias in general, and even
more damaging, to try and destroy the concept of constitutional State
militias in the minds of the American public.
Did members of the Hutaree intend to carry out aggressive violence against
law enforcement personnel? I have no idea. Until this story broke in the
national media, I had never heard of this group. I will wait for the facts
to come out--if indeed the federal government and national media even allow
the facts to come out.
I do know this: I do not trust the federal government to tell the truth
about anything! They did not tell the truth about the Branch Davidians at
Waco; they did not tell the truth about Randy Weaver; they did not tell the
truth about Gordon Kahl; and, if their track record is any indicator, it is
doubtful that they are telling the truth about the Hutaree militia. But we
shall see.
In the meantime, as William Norman Grigg opines, "There's reason to believe
that the Feds have expanded and escalated this ongoing enterprise to
exploit, and exacerbate, growing public hostility toward an increasingly
invasive and esurient government.
"Whether it is ever demonstrated that Hutaree intended to 'levy war' against
the U.S. government, this much is beyond serious dispute: The Homeland
Security state is unambiguously preparing for war with the public--in fact,
it has been doing so for a long time."

Hmmmm, Obama says the Tea Party should thank him that 95% of Americans got a tax cut. How he can call a rebate a tax cut is anybodys guess. It just goes to show you how dumbed down we are when it comes to taxation and government and economics in this country. Even the president doesn't understand Economics 101. That being said, here's a few things I'd like to thank our illustrious president for (With due inspirational credit to Mr. Rush Limbaugh).

Thank you Mr. President for:
1. Weakening our national defense by signing that stupid nuclear arms reduction treaty with the Russians, who by their own admission will not honor it (typical) if a Real American becomes president and reactivates the missile defense system. And once again giving away our intentions on the use of nuclear weapons to our present and future enemies.

2. Taking over General Motors and Chrysler, and giving controlling interest in both companies to the United Auto Workers union. Giving control of major corporations to their sworn enemy: the UAW, real smart there Mr. Obama since it was the union that got GM and Chrysler into this mess to begin with.

3. Engaging in a hostile takeover of 1/5 of the U.S. economy: the health care system. If this doesn't get repealed by Congress or struck down by SCOTUS, watch doctors quit the medical profession in droves. Some have already started to get out while the getting's good. We have (had) the best health care system in the world, now in four years it's going to be no better than France or Canada unless this Marxist Monstrosity gets repealed.

4. Continuing to blame George W. Bush for the state of the economy. Okay, Mr. Obama, maybe Bush did make a few mistakes, but you've had well over a year to start making things better, and they're still getting worse. Rampant government spending has a tendency to do that. Stop blaming Bush for your incompetence.

5. Appointing Marxist radicals to your Inner Circle: Cass Sunstein, Mark Lloyd, Van Jones( an admitted communist), Kevin Jennings(pervert), Bill Ayers ( while not part of the Inner Circle officially, something tells me you still consult with him from time to time). Those are some really strong supporters of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence there Mr. Obama, people you can count on to interpret the original intent of our Founding Documents, way to go Barack!

6. Oh wait! Mr. Obama, I forgot to thank you for: Record deficits and the out-of-control National Debt that my great niece and great nephew will be still be paying for when they're old and grey.

7. Let's not forget your World Apology Tour, we gotta thank you for that, being an apologist for the United States and it's people, who have fought and died to keep most of the world free.

8. Thank you also for the 10% unemployment rate that would not go above the 8% it was when you seized power....oops took office.

Those are all I could think of off the top of my head Mr. President, if I think up some more, I'll be sure to let you know by including them in my next post.
Thank you Mr. President, you're well on your way to turning this great nation into a shadow of it's former self.

Obama's Nuclear Option

So now we won't use nuclear weapons unless we're attacked by a country that also has them. What a good policy there Mr. Obama! Congratulations! You again gave away our intentions to our existing and potential enemies. I can't help but wonder if there's another motive for this treason....err madness. Let's say, God forbid, we are attacked again in a similar 9/11 type scenario, but one much worse. Could it be that our illustrious president is going to use the occasion of such an attack to keep himself and his Congress in perpetual power? A hypothetical situation: One of our major cities is hit by a dirty bomb or a chemical or biological weapon. In the ensuing chaos the military will be placed on war footing like never before, and martial law will probably be declared. What would stop Obama and Comrades from declaring, "The midterm elections of 2010 must be 'temporarily" suspended until we get this crisis straightened out......" ? What's to stop him from doing it? I know most will say, "But there's no Constitutional precedent for any head of state to do such a thing, no matter what the situation is!" My answer to that is: "Since when does this president give a damn about the Constitution?" Look at his recent activities since he's been in office!" I'm hoping to God it never comes to this, but my gut feeling is that the Left/Progressives in this country, given their track record, do not give their power up easily. Look at the way they got Obama into power in the first place and look at the way they rammed health care "reform" down our throats. Obama and his minions know that We The People are very angry, and that we're counting down the days till November 2. Watch out for any politician that talks about the "right" of any president to suspend elections due to a national emergency. The fact is, there's is absolutely no Constitutional precendent for doing any such thing. This would be Obama's Nuclear Option to keep himself and his Congress in power: By suspending elections. I fear we're being set up for a fall of horrifying proportions come this November.

How the Democrats may 'deem' ObamaCare into law without voting

We're not sure American schools teach civics any more, but once upon a time they taught that under the U.S. Constitution a bill had to pass both the House and Senate to become law. Until this week, that is, when Speaker Nancy Pelosi is moving to merely 'deem' that the House has passed the Senate health-care bill and then send it to President Obama to sign anyway.
Under the 'reconciliation' process that began [Monday] afternoon, the House is supposed to approve the Senate's Christmas Eve bill and then use 'sidecar' amendments to fix the things it doesn't like. Those amendments would then go to the Senate under rules that would let Democrats pass them while avoiding the ordinary 60-vote threshold for passing major legislation. This alone is an abuse of traditional Senate process.
But Mrs. Pelosi & Co. fear they lack the votes in the House to pass an identical Senate bill, even with the promise of these reconciliation fixes. House Members hate the thought of going on record voting for the Cornhusker kickback and other special-interest bribes that were added to get this mess through the Senate, as well as the new tax on high-cost insurance plans that Big Labor hates. So at the Speaker's command, New York Democrat Louise Slaughter, who chairs the House Rules Committee, may insert what's known as a 'self-executing rule,' also known as a 'hereby rule.'
Under this amazing procedural ruse, the House would then vote only once on the reconciliation corrections, but not on the underlying Senate bill. If those reconciliation corrections pass, the self-executing rule would say that the Senate bill is presumptively approved by the House -- even without a formal up-or-down vote on the actual words of the Senate bill. Democrats would thus send the Senate bill to President Obama for his signature even as they claimed to oppose the same Senate bill. They would be declaring themselves to be for and against the Senate bill in the same vote. Even John Kerry never went that far with his Iraq war machinations.
This two-votes-in-one gambit is a brazen affront to the plain language of the Constitution, which is intended to require democratic accountability. Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution says that in order for a 'Bill' to 'become a Law,' it 'shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate.'
This is why the House and Senate typically have a conference committee to work out differences in what each body passes. ... If Congress can now decide that the House can vote for one bill and the Senate can vote for another, and the final result can be some arbitrary hybrid, then we have abandoned one of [James] Madison's core checks and balances. Yes, self-executing rules have been used in the past, but as the Congressional Research Service put it in a 2006 paper, "Originally, this type of rule was used to expedite House action in disposing of Senate amendments to House-passed bills." They've also been used for amendments such as to a 1998 bill that "would have permitted the CIA to offer employees an early-out retirement program"—but never before to elide a vote on the entire fundamental legislation.
We have entered a political wonderland, where the rules are whatever Democrats say they are. Mrs. Pelosi and the White House are resorting to these abuses because their bill is so unpopular that a majority even of their own party doesn't want to vote for it. Fence-sitting Members are being threatened with primary challengers, a withdrawal of union support and of course ostracism. Michigan's Bart Stupak is being pounded nightly by MSNBC for the high crime of refusing to vote for a bill that he believes will subsidize insurance for abortions.
Democrats are, literally, consuming their own majority for the sake of imposing new taxes, regulations and entitlements that the public has roundly rejected but that they believe will be the crowning achievement of the welfare state. They are also leaving behind a procedural bloody trail that will fuel public fury and make such a vast change of law seem illegitimate to millions of Americans.
The concoction has become so toxic that even Mrs. Pelosi isn't bothering to defend the merits anymore, saying instead last week that "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." Or rather, "deeming" to have passed it.

The Yard Sign

The yard sign...

Ralph, My neighbor is a "lefty" of sorts (Obama bumper stickers, gung-ho socialized medicine, "guns should be banned", etc.). So last week I put this sign up in my yard after one of his anti-gun rants at a neighborhood cocktail party.

The sign wasn't up more than an hour before he called the police and wanted them to make me take down the sign.

Fortunately, the officer politely informed him that it was not their job to take such action without a court order and that he had to file a complaint "downtown" first, which would be reviewed by the city attorney to see if it violated any city, county, or state ordinances, which if there was a violation a court order would be sent to the offending party (me) to "remove the sign in seven days".

After several weeks he was informed that the sign was legal (by a quarter of an inch) and there was nothing the city could do, which obviously made him madder.

I tried to smooth things over by inviting him to go shooting with me and my friends at the hunt club but that seemed to make him even more angry. I then asked him if he wanted to go to a Tea Party rally but again he declined my outreach efforts to bring about a better understanding between political and social opponents.

I am at a loss how to reconcile our long relationship (notice I did not say friendship), any suggestions would be welcome.

So now our "president" addresses senators and congressmen by their first names when they have to call him Mister President. It's a typical intimidation tactic used by corporate chieftans, MSM media interviewers, and organized crime thugs. It just illustrates what this "president" is all about: power, control, and dominance over the people of this country. Given half a chance, this man would be a dictator, a third world banana republic dictator and we'd be his "loyal" supplicants. "John, the election's over, you can stop campaigning..." what an arrogant bastard. Mr. Obama you're a thug and no president. In order to be president, one must understand the United States Constitution; something that this man doesn't. He should go back and read articles I, II, and III all of which tell you all about separate but co-equal branches of government. He's the president, not the King, or Emperor or Maximum Leader as Noriega in Panama referred to himself. Mr. Obama is basically a low-class Chicago thug, nothing more, nothing less. Bravo to John McCain for standing up to this thug and not taking any crap from him.

which I reported on the new Council of Governors (CG) that President Barack

Well, Obama's CG is quickly beginning to take shape. According to the
Associated Press (AP), "President Barack Obama has selected Missouri Gov.
Jay Nixon to serve on an advisory council for defense and national security
issues.
"Nixon was one of 10 governors named Thursday [February 4, 2009] by Obama to
the newly created Council of Governors."
The 10 governors (and one of them is not even a State governor) selected by
Obama are:

*Governor James Douglas (R-Vermont) *Co-chair

*Governor Chris Gregoire (D-Washington) *Co-chair

Governor Brad Henry (D-Oklahoma)

Governor Jay Nixon (D-Missouri)

Governor Martin O'Malley (D-Maryland)

Governor Janice Brewer (R-Arizona)

Governor Bob McDonnell (R-Virginia)

Governor Michael Rounds (R-South Dakota)

Governor Beverly Perdue (D-North Carolina)

Governor Luis G. Fortuno (R-Puerto Rico)

As I have already written, the creation of a CG should be of serious concern
to all liberty loving Americans. That more of us are not as concerned as we
should be can be traced to the mistaken belief that the American people have
nothing to fear from an overreaching federal government. This is pure folly!
As I have said many times, we have far more to fear from Washington, D.C.,
than from Iran, Iraq, North Korea, or any other potential terrorist state.
It is Washington, D.C.,--and Washington, D.C., alone--that has the power,
opportunity, and propensity to squash our freedom and sell us into tyranny.

As Kurt Nimmo reports, "In other words, with the stroke of a pen, Obama
significantly increased the ongoing effort to federalize the states and take
control of the National Guard in violation of the now more or less moribund
Posse Comitatus Act. Posse Comitatus was effectively annulled by the 2006
John Warner National Defense Authorization Act. The act provides the
president with power to declare martial law under revisions to the
Insurrection Act and take charge of United States National Guard troops
without state governor authorization. Parts of the act were repealed in
2008."

What most Americans fail to realize (thanks to a national propaganda press
corps that refuses to reveal the conspiratorial machinations of America's
ruling class, which, by and large, is totally disconnected from--or
unaccountable to--elected officeholders: especially those in Congress) is
that the subdivision of the United States into a 10-region country (thereby
minimizing or even negating the sovereignty and authority of the 50
independent and autonomous states) goes all the way back to the Richard
Nixon administration.

In response to pressure from the United Nations, President Richard Nixon
issued Executive Order #11647 on February 10, 1972, which carved up the
United States into 10 "standard Federal regions."
For the doubters out there, Wikipedia has a rather detailed web page
mentioning the federal 10-region breakdown of the United States.

Still not convinced? Try a casual web search of the 10 US regions and you
will quickly discover that each major federal agency, such as the EPA, OSHA,
DOT, FEMA, etc., has their agency already divided into these 10 regions. As
an example, here is the official district map for FEMA:

Commenting on the creation of the 10 "super" regions initiated by President
Nixon, CuttingEdge.org director David Bay very astutely said, "This regional
system is also apparently a military structure." This is a very insightful
observation, because I'm sure this was said long before President Obama took
office, yet, that is exactly what his CG accomplishes. It grants federal
executive power to these 10 governors--with the specific responsibility of
providing leadership and direction to the National Guard and related
homeland military activities. And is it any coincidence that the number of
governors appointed to this new CG is exactly 10? Even more telling is the
fact that the 10 governors come from each US region (the governor of Puerto
Rico represents Region 2), except for Region 5, and guess what? Region 5 is
President Obama's region!

Now, get this: the only region that has two governors represented on the CG
(making up for Region 5's lack of a representative--who will be Obama
himself, no doubt) is Region 3. And put this in your pipe and smoke it: the
two governors from Region 3 are from Maryland and Virginia, which are the
two states that border Washington, D.C. But all of this is mere coincidence,
right?

So, here is the list of the Council of Governors, as it coincides with the
respective 10 regions. If you know anything about what is going on, you
should easily be able to see the logic of how and why these governors were
selected. Obviously, the two basic criteria would be 1) The location of
necessary government infrastructure, facilities, personnel, etc., combined
with 2) The compliant attitude and overall disposition of the governor
selected. Here is how it looks:

Region 1: Governor Douglas of Vermont

Region 2: Governor Fortuno of Puerto Rico

Region 3: Governor O'Malley of Maryland and Governor McDonnell of Virginia.

These are necessary, as these are the two border states of Washington, D.C.

Region 4: Governor Perdue of North Carolina

Region 5: President Barack Obama of Illinois

Region 6: Governor Henry of Oklahoma

Region 7: Governor Nixon of Missouri

Region 8: Governor Rounds of South Dakota

Region 9: Governor Brewer of Arizona

Region 10: Governor Gregoire of Washington State

And while it is true that President Jimmy Carter revoked President Nixon's
"Federal Regional Council" (what Nixon's Executive Order created in 1972) in
1979, the concept never died. It was merely incorporated into other
Executive Orders. And there can be no question that President Obama's CG
certainly builds on Nixon's initial "Regional Council" model.

Neither is it a coincidence that Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is included in
the list of 10 governors appointed to the CG. Why? Does anyone remember the
MIAC flap in the State of Missouri last year? I sure do, because I (along
with Ron Paul and Bob Barr) was listed in the MIAC report as being a
potential dangerous militia member or terrorist. And anyone who supported or
voted for the three of us was similarly maligned in the MIAC report. Plus,
the report also targeted people who opposed any of the following as being
potential dangerous militia members:

The New World Order

The United Nations

Gun Control

The violation of Posse Comitatus

The Federal Reserve

The Income Tax

The Ammunition Accountability Act

A possible Constitutional Convention (Con Con)

The North American Union

Universal Service Program

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

Abortion on demand

Illegal immigration

Remember, this was an official Missouri State Police report that was
distributed to all Missouri State law enforcement officers. And Governor Jay
Nixon authorized and strongly defended the MIAC report!
Later, of course, Governor Nixon and other State leaders were forced to
withdraw the report, due to immense public pressure from both the citizens
of Missouri and angry Americans all across the country.

Now we learn that President Obama has appointed this very same Governor Jay
Nixon to the newly formed Council of Governors. Doubtless, Nixon's support
for the MIAC report brought him into the good graces of this Marxist
President, who, in his inaugural address, pledged to "remake America."
Without a doubt, the newly established Council of Governors is helping Obama
do just that.

Of course, the big question is not, Is America being "remade"? It most
certainly is--and it started long before Obama moved into the White House.
The question is, Will this "remade" America be something we can live with?

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether or not we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled in New York and Washington D.C. when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending other people.(read Arab terrorists.)

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. In fact, our country's population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants; however, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, need to understand.
First of all, it is not our responsibility to continually try not to offend you in any way. This idea of America being a multi-cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language, and our own lifestyle. This culture, called the "American Way" has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. Our forefathers fought, bled, and died at places such as Bunker Hill, Antietam, San Juan, Iwo Jima, Normandy, Korea, Vietnam, We speak English, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language.

Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society - learn our language!!!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some off-the-wall, Christian, Right Wing, political slogan- it is our national motto. It is engraved in stone in the House of Representatives in our Capitol and it is printed on our currency. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation; and this is clearly documented throughout our history. If it is appropriate for our motto to be inscribed in the halls of our highest level of Government, then it is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools.

God is in our pledge, our National Anthem, nearly every patriotic song, and in our founding documents. We honor His birth, death, and resurrection as holidays, and we turn to Him in prayer in times of crisis. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture and we are proud to have Him.

We are proud of our heritage and those who have so honorably defended our freedoms. We celebrate Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Flag Day. We have parades, picnics, and barbecues where we proudly wave our flag. As an American, I have the right to wave my flag, sing my national anthem, quote my national motto, and cite my pledge whenever and wherever I choose. If the Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.

The American culture is our way of life, our heritage, and we are proud of it. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. We are Americans, like it or not, this is our country, our land, and our lifestyle.

Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion about our government, culture, or society, and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life,

I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American
freedom, the right to leave.

Subject: VERY interesting!!! on SARAH PALIN

As posted in comments on Greta's article referencing the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin.

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant.

Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out.. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off.. Shoulda known better.

You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents' wives.

So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals. I rest my case. Only FOOLS listen to the biased media

Chris the Pumpkinhead Matthews of MSNBC fame, the man with the tingling leg, put the foot of that leg right into a bucket of something warm and brown. While speaking with Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow of MSNBC about Obama's State of Obama....oops of the Union address, he spouted, "You know, I was trying to think about who he was tonight, and it's interesting, he's post racial by all appearances." What the hell does "post racial" mean? Then he stepped in it by adding: "You know, I forgot he was black tonight for an hour." Boy, doesn't that sound like, "Hey I have black friends...." or "Did I mention he/she's black?" etc, etc. And these people, meaning the left, have the gall to refer to conservatives and Republicans as racists? Can you imagine what would happen if Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity spouted such tripe? There would be calls for their heads on a platter. But if super lefty Chris Matthews pukes up such bilgewater? He gets a free pass, as usual when a lefty shows his true racist colors. Glenn Beck said on his radio program today that he wouldn't fire Matthews if he, Beck, was in charge at MSNBC. Well, I guess Glenn is more charitable than I am. I'd love to see Matthews fired for what he said, because any conservative commentator would be out the door on his ass if he said something similar. What's good enough for the conservative goose is good enough for the liberal gander. It just goes to show you who the real racists are in this country, and trust me, it ain't the Right.

Score One for the First Amendment

The Supreme Court of the United States made another good decision in favor of the people, and the Constitution. The best decision they have made since the Heller decision. Heller as you may know, affirmed and upheld the individual right to keep and bear arms and struck down Washington D.C.'s illegal ban on handguns. Now in a 5-4 decision, the court struck down the McCain-Feingold ban on so-called "electioneering" communications. This decision means that corporations are people too and have the right to participate in the political process as much as individual citizens do. Kudos to SCOTUS for this momentous decision. My question and what scares me is, like Heller, why was this a 5-4 decision and not a 6-3 or 7-2 or even unanimous? Seems to me we need to get more originalists on the court.

It was only a matter of time. The problem with left wing talk radio is that the great American public will only take so much of being talked down to by arrogant, condescending elitists who constantly impugn the values of the people that make this country work, before same people say, "F--k off, enough's enough!" The vast majority of the American public are also tired of listening to "progressives" (liberals) bash America and blame America for all the world's problems. I never thought I'd live to see a Republican take over the United States senate seat of the "liberal lion" Edward (Teddy) Kennedy. Congratulations to Senator Brown and his family. Now, I hope the good Senator stands by his word and votes the way a conservative is supposed to vote. I hope all the ideas he brought forth in the campaign become legislative reality. And I hope he doesn't legislate too much. Last night's election was a direct repudiation of Obamacare, and many other Obama policies. Senator Brown, please stick to your guns and vote the way you said you would in the campaign, don't fall in with the RINOs, and don't go along to get along with the libs/"progressives". They need to be defeated, not gotten along with.

The days when you and your Democrat buddies could buy elections are over, even if Scott Brown doesn't win tomorrow in MA, it doesn't matter because Martha Coakley will be thrown out of office on election fraud charges if she "wins." But I predict Scott Brown will win, because even people in that great bastion of Marxism, Massachusetts, are fed up with Obama and his minions, and you're one of those Obama minions Ed. You guys are the bastards, not us. You guys are always trying to find a way around the Constitution to realize your dream of a socialist Utopia, which by the way the great majority of people in this country do not want, much to your dismay.
